How to Create Content

To contribute content to this web site, you need to:

1. Request a user account. You can use the built-in request form to do this. Please also email info@fernan.info information about yourself and which branch of the family you belong to.

2. When your request has been approved, you will receive an email confirming that your account has been activated.

3. Login using the login form on the Home Page using the username and password specified in the email confirming that your account has been activated.

4. Click on the Create content link on the left-hand side menu.

5. Select the kind of content you want to create and follow the prompts and inline instructions.

These are the types of content you can contribute to this site:

• Audio. An audio file. The audio file could be used for adding music, podcasts, or audio clips to your site.
• Blog entry. A blog is a regularly updated journal or diary made up of individual posts shown in reversed chronological order. Each member of the site may create and maintain a blog.
• Event. An event is a story which can be given a start and end date, thus appearing in the events calendar.
• Image. An image (with thumbnail). This is ideal for publishing photographs or screenshots.
• Page. If you want to add a static page, like a contact page or an about page, use a page.
• Slideshow. Slideshows are a series of image nodes that are shown after each other. In modern browsers, the images are changed without reloading the entire page.
• Story. Stories are articles in their simplest form: they have a title, a teaser and a body, but can be extended by other modules. The teaser is part of the body too. Stories may be used as a personal blog or for news articles.
